Our Story

A faithful past and a hopeful future

An old church with a young heart! BCC is over 165 years old! It’s never been perfect, but it is a body of believers who have dedicated lots of years of faithful service to God and the community of Bloomingdale and beyond.

In one sense, BCC is very old. In another sense, it is quite young. In the fall of 2024, BCC hit a low spot. The church had been declining in numbers and activity for several years. Some feared it might be on its last leg. But the Elders would not give up. They renewed a commitment to weekly fervent prayer and God heard their prayer! In the course of the next 12 months, the church experienced a “re-birth” of sorts and grew from an average of 20 in attendance to over 150! Many families began returning and started showing up. The laughter of children and the joy of God’s people now fill this space.

This latest chapter is one of the most exciting, and we invite you to join this story now and help us write this church’s future chapters.

Bloomingdale Christian Church

How will this church impact the community of Bloomingdale and beyond? How will we lead people to Christ and give them hope for an eternity with Him? How will we build and bring the Kingdom of God? How will we love and serve our community in the name of Jesus? And how will we do life together, growing in Christ and preparing for His return?
